PRINCIPAL’S CORNER SEPTEMBER 1, 2025 | Volume 2, Issue 1
Dear Families & Caregivers,
Welcome to September and the start of the 2025-2026 school year! On Monday and Tuesday, faculty and staff participated in opening day festivities which included preparing for students on Wednesday. We focused on our new team members here at Blanchard, our goals for instruction this year, and all things to get the year off and running!
On a personal note, my oldest was dropped off for year two at Northeastern University and although still a bit emotional, I am thrilled to see what lies ahead for her this year. My younger daughter began junior year and is playing varsity field hockey this fall so I am looking forward to supporting her in the coming weeks/months. I love the fall season even though the changes keep coming for our family.
Wednesday was amazing here at Blanchard! The energy around the building was palpable and quite contagious. I did share some initial thoughts over Parent Square and this will continue periodically throughout the year.
During these first two weeks, teachers are establishing relationships and developing shared expectations with students, getting acclimated with our routines, and reinforcing our STARR values.
Monthly Community Coffee with the principals will be in person and remote every other month. We always look forward to welcoming volunteers into the building. Please be on the lookout for opportunities to get involved with the library, PTF, School Council, and Family Advisory.
A reminder that if you are dropping off in the morning, please do not let students out of the vehicle until 8:35 when we have supervision.

Homeroom begins promptly at 8:50 AM for grades K-6 and ends at 3:20 PM, except on Wednesdays dismissal is at 12:50 PM.

The primary role of the classroom coordinator is to support the teacher in setting up volunteers and serve as the liaison between the PTF and the classroom caregiver population. The coordinator generally leads the organization of the holiday and end of year gift for the classroom.

BLANCHARD FUN RUN | FRIDAY, Oct. 24th
Watch your email to register your student for our annual fun run. There are ZERO fundraising requirements to participate! This is our ONLY student led fundraiser and we have a goal of $20,000! This event sets our year up for success to fund our enrichment programs and community builders! Parents and caregivers are encouraged to attend and cheer on their students, so save the date now!
Blanchard Open House | September 30th | 6-7:30pm
Join your child(ren) as they take you through their day at Blanchard. This is a great chance to meet the teachers and fellow Blanchard classmates!
